with emphasis on the rolling eyes ;) it's slow as hell on my pc...

I think we should have this poll as "What OS do you use to play Crossfire?" as a poll on the actual website, although those polls don't seem to get a lot of votes...
When I look at that poll right here, it seems that Windows users might be more common than thought by some developers in the ...

installing the crossfire-client-images for the win client

in the readme it says put them in $prefix/share/crossfire-client, prefix be the -prefix option when you built it...now..I didn't built it because it's the installer and the default: usr/local does not exist under windows.
so were should i put them?

win98se, gtk-client 1.60, random crashes while moving

playing on metalforge.real-time.com

I can play, walk, fight, do everything, but the client crashes
about every 5-15 minutes with different "general protection fault" or "invalid page fault" errors.

e.g.:

GTKCLIENT caused an invalid page fault
in module LIBGDK-WIN32-2.0-0.DLL at 018f:00872b8b ...
