Bah! IT would be cool if there was a client that 3d'ized CF maps, so you could connect to a regular cf server, but have the client load it's images and renderes, and 'voila! you have cf for the 3d and anti-3d on the same server. :P

Yes, that was what I described in my previous post. Although, given that the items a server has may vary, it would be more sensible to have the models as a graphics set on the server, so that there is no risk of missing faces.

Of course there are still two issues to overcome

1) writing a 3d client (you need to know openGL - I doubt anyone working on CF has more than toyed with it.)
2) making models of all the graphics in the game

I am glad we use the gfx we use. It's relativly easy to make new items this way.. thus new items get made.
