The whole point would be to lose the slay dragon effects, other than that everything else about it should be negative, otherwise it would be advantagous to use normally, and it should be something that /weakens/ dragons, unless defending against slay dragon fields. Dragons already get inate resistances to things, giving them the full array of body slots would make them stupidly strong.
I find it annoying that players come on whining that the game should be changed because they died in such and such circomstance. Who cares if you died? It's a game FOOL. That's what happenes in games... like sometimes they like are like hard. DragonBANE is the B-A-N-E of dragons... what the ... do you expect? Go play zone 1 sonic the hedgehog if you want easy.
my char never gets depleted, he uses a belzebub shield (resist deplete +100)leaf wrote:What about a potion of life or praying on certain altars (assuming the other criteria is met?)Aaron wrote: the problem is that the effect is permanant.
From my (arena) experience(s), depletion attack type works on all players - no matter what their race *and* their restistance to depletion.
ok, maybe a weapon of gnarg with depletion attack depletes this thiny elf

I agree, I was just double checking what you meant.cavesomething wrote:The whole point would be to lose the slay dragon effects, other than that everything else about it should be negative, otherwise it would be advantagous to use normally, and it should be something that /weakens/ dragons, unless defending against slay dragon fields. Hmmm... I've never gotten depleated in the arena except when I forget my ring of life, OR with this stupid dragon slayer.leaf wrote:From my (arena) experience(s), depletion attack type works on all players - no matter what their race *and* their restistance to depletion.
And I think that this is a stupidly large weakness in the arena, because in under a second my stats are depleated as far as they can go, and that makes me totally helpless. I'm not saying that people should'nt be able to beat me because of them having the right equipement; but I am saying that there needs to be some "right equipment" (or potion possibility) that I could use to defend against such a sword.
I think we need something either like cavesomething's suggestion for a cloak of humanoid form. Something else that would also work would be a potion that would briefly make you unaffected by slay affects, also with a disadvantage such as depleating each of your stats by 1 in the process (need a potion of life to reverse).
No. A dragonbane is the BANE of dragons! It kills you guys. That's just the way it is.
