Removing Undead Status

out-of-curiosity.. Throughout history, as far as I can remember, anything undead felt cold to the touch..

...so..why doesn't undead fireborne or wraith have a cold attack (without equipment)? Also.. I know Devourer gives you +cold resistance.. If you leave Devourer and are still considered undead, why wouldn't you keep your +cold resistance, or at least part of it? Would be cool (consolation prize) if you did..

Also.. Even if you join another god that allows banishment, what logic is there for you to be able to use it if you're undead? Simply being undead should mean DENY holy-word/banishment..

has anyone sent leaf's idea about showing the -100 holy word to the devel list? seems like an easy fix.. (if not, where do I send it?)

I haven't tried playing around with undead characters yet, but if you switch to devourers, and then switch to some other god, do you stay immune to diseases? And if not, shouldn't you? It would make sense, as well as giving a point to becomming undead.. (Possibly even an immunity or slight immunity to poison too) On another note, shouldn't healing spells be damaging to undead (see: every other RPG) ?

Well it would seem that the tracking of your old race is already in place, so in theory removing undead status would just be a toggle. It still knows I am a dragon when I try to set a title and when I eat things to increase resistances, but doesn't recognize me as a dragon to enter the dragon guild.

Come on now, this is getting rude. I was hours from lvl 111, and a lich with a rod of banishment flattened me. Once again, I didn't even get to see the black of his banishment before I was in my apt.

Do we know the long term plans of banishment rods? Earlier today a demon used banishment on me, thankfully he only had a low enough rod to nearly kill me.

Multiple things here: Healing dealing damage to undead: Healing magic converted to evil healing magic would thus make it healthy for undead would it not? And as undead would automatically taint any such magic they would automatically always use evil healing magic no?

Banish being denied? Why just because your undead doesnt mean you fear doing something that might kill you: heck look at adventurers all over: they've accumulated 6000000 diamonds: more then enough to live a million years and yet they continue to adventure why? And theres nothing saying that Banish is inherently good: Gorokh is a god of demons yet his followers can use Banish thus making his Banish evil, so does that not make it seem that its just in eyes of person regarding it as bad that makes it bad, and a wraith does not necessarily need to see his own banishment as bad?

If you turn to undead you should retain 100% of the positive aspects of it as well as 100% of the negative aspects, because Why do those negative aspects affect you? The same reason that the positive ones should.

Oh and everybody missed a major undead killer: Light!! Its vicious and strips a level 100+ wraiths hp down in seconds ><

Sorry for this small rant but: I dont think it would be fair to slap on more negative aspects to wraith character, we already suffer enough being banished by pixies(Yes those little things that level 1s and 2s run through) when we are level 110!
