I have had a chat with leaf about this, I was converted to Devourer though an accident with a alter(and the undead status that goes with it) -- is there a way to remove undead status or will one ever exist?
Like leaf and I agreed in our chat, from a roleplay point it is certainly difficult to get it removed, but I would hope if Devourer could make me undead, Gaea could make me back -- perhaps by some quest/process?
It's an especially panful thing for those of us who built characters using Gaea and now find our own banishment quite painful.
ALong these same lines, I am a dragon, and if I did decide to become a follower of Devourer I am unable to enter the Dragon guild because of my race change to undead -- is that intended?

Re: Removing Undead Status
As of right now, there is no way to remove the undead status.woo wrote: I have had a chat with leaf about this, I was converted to Devourer though an accident with a alter(and the undead status that goes with it) -- is there a way to remove undead status or will one ever exist?
Will one exist? Unknown.
First, there needs to be a mechanism in place to track what the race was before the conversion to Devourers.woo wrote:

Then, the map(s) and/or quest(s) would have to be designed. But, it's not that simple. Another mechanism would need to be developed in order to keep a level 100 player from solving the "level 1" quest map(s).
The quest maps can't (shouldn't?) be a fixed level, otherwise the level 1 character who wants to switch would have to level up to Level X (10, 500, 100, etc.) and then loose that experience when they switch to the new god. Plus, if map Level X is 50, then it's a cake walk for the level 100 player and too hard or impossible for the level 10 player.
What happens if a wraith player solves this theorteical quest or map set?

No, not anymore.. you are undead.woo wrote:

The door only opens for dragons. If it won't open for you, then you are not a dragon. Yes, it is intended.woo wrote:

Hum. I am a dragon, follow Devourers, and i can enter the dragon guild.
In some ancient times, i could'nt, but someone changed it and now i can. It's strange that you can't.
One solution : ask another dragon to open the door for you, buy all the ancient elem residue (or all but one
) and store them in your apt.
Az.

I have already done all of my metabolism changes, I would just prefer to be a dragon again
(thanks for point out I'm not a dragon now leaf, I appreciate that
)
What about making undead a subclass, and making me an undead dragon, then undead can be toggled on/off -- this also prevents a wraith from becoming undead, as your primary race must be non undead to get undead removed (or from another view, a wraith who gets their undead status removed ceases to exist)
I don't think I would mind as much if I had _wanted_ to be undead

So is getting killed by one's own spell(s) such as comet, meteor swarm, fireball, ice storm, et al.Salathar wrote:Getting killed by your own banishment is a frequent occurrence,
This is similar to a fireborn player complaining about cold based spells killing them.Salathar wrote: ... that’s why people complain so much if they stay undead when changing gods.
However, the fireborn player is more aware(?) of their vulnerability to cold - so they know to avoid it or take the necessary precaution when facing cold attacks.
Perhaps, the partial resistance area of the client should should show "Holy Word -100" for followers of Devourers and wraiths?
For those of us who became willing followers of Devourer yes. Some of us were converted when someone converted the alters in Scorn. (Yes, still my fault but I feel more justified whining about that then I would if I were a fireborn..)Salathar wrote:

Excellent idea.Perhaps, the partial resistance area of the client should should show "Holy Word -100" for followers of Devourers and wraiths?
Actually this is a pretty cool idea - if undead was not a race but a modifier then it could be set and unset in a variety of nasty ways including worshiping a god, a disease, a artifact, a potion... A variety of very hard and uncommon ways I think.woo wrote: What about making undead a subclass, and making me an undead dragon, then undead can be toggled on/off -- this also prevents a wraith from becoming undead, as your primary race must be non undead to get undead removed (or from another view, a wraith who gets their undead status removed ceases to exist)

The wraith player class could be converted to be an undead human.
