It looks like you used the Quit Character command in some form. What that does is, it deletes your character.
It is best to find an Inn and use a "bed to reality" when you want to log out.
The quit command will delete your character.
Since I've seen you (or a presume it is you) on crossfire.metalforge.net - that server does not have or use permanent death. So, death is temporary.
