Town portal usage

True, with any help, low levels can do a lot of things. I mean, with portal, a med level got idaten boots, with help of a high level.

Yes Town portals not resetting on reset maps is an entirely different issue.

If a map resets IMHO the portal should reset also.

Yep, that is a bad problem that seems to be under a lot of abuse.

True, it is abused, but it is also very useful. And I thought maps were first come first serve.

First come != first to portal into the treasure room

I disagree. Though you should mark the entrance warning that you have been there, you still spent the SP and waited long enough. If someone wants an item, they can always ask.

even entrances do reset.
looting treasure with (ab)use of a town portal is very very lame, especially if you do so when someone else is trying to fight his/her way to that very same treasure

Thats why before you loot, you put the most recent marker on the world map (if possible) and in the entracne leave a marker. Then you have equalized somewhat the reset times.
