Perhaps with regions too, you can theoretically assign certain DMs to areas, and divide and conquer the task of DMing. Of course, there should be no limits on where a DM goes, just like
Region of Navar: Under DM responisbility of poof, woo....
Region of Scorn: Under DM responsibility of Leaf, vulcan,...

Not exactly. If most of the DMs were logged off, and only one to two were on, that means that the logged on DMs share the task of all regions. If none are logged on, or one, then that one has the task of being overlord of all the regions. If however, all DM's were logged in, then they could split up, but still be able to interfere in other regions.

So what exactly do we gain be assinging DM's to a region in the first place? Sure maybe you could check if the DM of the region you are in is online and if he is ask him directly, but many of the DM's try to login even if they are sporadically AFK - so you'd still end up shouting for a DM.

This has nothing to do really with admining, it has to do with region oreinted quests and more DMing.

It doesn't?

Another channel for contacting to DMs could work.

I agree, if only because it is by no means guarenteed that a dm is available at any time, nor that a non-dm is unable to help with whatever the problem is.

Example: the other day a character appeared and said he was stuck on another server, I was able to create a character on that server and free him, without being dm.

A dm_help channel would mean that equivilant requests were unknown to non-dm players.
