I have found the following:
* I can wear armor when worshiping Ruggilli.
* Ixhalov did not grant me the 80% cold resistance.
Im using version 1.7.0 of the server under linux, with all the defaults.
2 bugs with Ruggilli and Ixhalov??

I am not sure if Ixa not giving 80 cold resistance is intended or not, we need to ask the creator of the goddess to comment on this
afaik it was never 80 from the moment she was introduced in the world of crossfire. However, according to the website it should indeed be 80. So either code or site need updating.
Ruggilli worshiper being able to wear armor is interesting and needs testing perhaps it is linked with this bug.

Ixa does have grant an 80% resist cold, however like items which grant resistance, I believe this number is not just added to your resistance but weighted in using a complex formula. The idea was she grants her followers a *rather large* cold resistance however.
Also as for updating the spoiler site, she does grant a powerful artifact now as well.

I created a new priest and converted him to Ixa. These are the messages which appeared:
This only gave 30%. The character had 0% cold res to start with. Isn't this nubmer supposed to be 80%?
Code: Select all
You become a follower of Ixalovh!
Your resistance to magic rises to 20%.
Your resistance to fire drops to -30%.
Your resistance to cold rises to 30%.

I just tested this on crossfire.metalforge.netSalathar wrote:I created a new priest and converted him to Ixa. These are the messages which appeared:Code: Select all

No resistances to start with.
Once I switched, the cold resistance was 30%
Also confirmed it as 30% with the 'resistances command.
resist cold +80 is quite a lot! I think you would need it as a compensation for resist fire -30 (which is also very much)Salathar wrote:I created a new priest and converted him to Ixa. i think these ixalovh resistances are unbalanced as they are now (fire -30, cold +30, magic +20) since having resist fire +70 max is really BAD, at least as long as you dont have a decent equipment - and even then, its hard to survive.
I would suggest - but here the gods [s]god[/s] creator has to decide - to make Ixalovh (resist col +80, resist fire -30. resist magic +20) or (resist cold +30, resist fire -10, resist magic +20)
Note, according to the spoiler Ixalovh also gives armour +20
another note: Ixalovh is denied turning, which generally makes her hard to lvl praying

Ixa does have +80 cold resist. While that may seem like a lot, other gods (most I believe) grant %100 resistances (including Ixa's brothers). SO on the record - this is the official cold resistance intended by the creator. As for why it manifests as +30 - this is due to the code that implements resistances - maybe someone else would be better able to explain it.
As for why the cold resistance - the ocean is cold and there is a lot of ice in it too. Lets just say if you are sailing on a ship called Titanic, you really don't want to forget to appease Ixalovh.

there's nothing wrong with that, its just that the +100 resistances are usually not against very common attack types/spell types (maybe with devourers and gaea as exception: drain, deplete and death)Avion wrote:Ixa does have +80 cold resist. as it is now, Ixalovh giving +30 cold (due to a bug?) she is unbalanced for reasons i stated before. I hope this will be corrected soon - preferably by granting the intented cold resistance.

So basically there is a bug? Ixa should give +80 cold, but is currently only giving +30Avion wrote:Ixa does have +80 cold resist.
