dragon hangar

Hello,

When I go to the Dragon Hangar in Stoneville, I can easily clear the level downstairs (i.e. the one with all the dragons in the enclosure that is opened using the two levers in the corners). Having killed the Dragonman, I get the key and the goodies at the entrance of that level. Then, going downstairs, I see dragon dompteurs and 9 (iirc) levers. Using my rod of magic mapping, I notice that there is quite a bit more on that level. How do I open the gate in the room with the levers to access the rest of the level?

There's a note somewhere, and it does tell you your 'reason' for being there.
