Tavern password

The password for the tavern gates is "argon". I know this because I heard someone else say it, and because I found it in the map source. However, I grepped the entire map for that string, and it appears only in the six ears next to those gates.

How the heck are we supposed to find that password without getting it from someone else or looking at the map source?

from the latest release of mlab's map set....

08:45:35 bren Cavetroll ~/docs/downloads/mlab $grep -C 4 password zealothouseb1
arch note
msg
To Do:
1)Need one more nobel gas.
Used as password for tavern.
Will inquire within.
2)Accure more nerve agents.
endmsg
end

now, as to whether or not the metalforge server is running that version, I don't know, but the devel mailing list has had some rather amusing flamage on the subject of including those maps recently.

incidentally, that is a spelling mistake surely? Shouldn't it be a 'noble' gas

Hmm you're right I did make a spelling mistake :O. Btw the tower etc is now in Navar, where the 4 scorn tiles were is now a trading center. Latest is on cat2.ath.cx if you want to play them, I also created 5 new weapon arches: war axe, scythe, sickle, spiked flail, bearded axe (with throwing direction animation). https://cat2.ath.cx/crossfirearch

What is a bearded axe? how is it different to a clean shaven axe?

The shape of the striking surface gets wider towards the end, therefore looking like a beard. This design provides a greater striking length of the weapon, without considerably indreasing its weight.. Hmm, not a very good description, is it.. Log on to mlab's server and go around shops, you'll see it!
