Compiling client under Windows-Cygwin

Post by Casper »

I don't know if anyone else managed to achive this, but I seem to have trouble compiling the client under Cygwin. Configure seems unable to find the gtk-config file (rightly so, as cygwin does not have it).

I googled and tried different workarounds, all of which failed with varying degrees of success. If anyone has ever managed to tell configure where to find GTK and still remembers how to do it, could they please post here?

I have XP SP2+patches with Cygwin (current?) with all rellevant packages installed, but no external GTK library for Windows, just the one that is used by the Cygwin's X server. I think I may need to install the Windows GTK port and then tell the configure script to try use that one to compile against. Somehow.
