In this case, "who" is a group of people. Current developers and contributors can be found at:matt wrote:Im doing a school project and I need to know who makes it

All (or nearly all?) people who have every contributed can be found with the 'version command in the game.

"Records" indicate Crossfire was started around 16-Feb-92When it was started t
How many curreny active users? How many people have ever(!) logged in and played? Total number of players files on all servers?how many users
There's not really anything in place to track this kind of information. Also, one can play on their local computer or a private network (server) and no way to track that.
Going by the number of downloads on SourceForge is misleading because a number of those downloads are from FTP mirrors. There's no access to the logs to determine more details other then total number number of downloads.
Not quite sure what you mean by this.how influential etc.
There have been at least three spin offs (aka forks) of Crossfire that I know of over the past 10 years.
AFAIK, two of those projects didn't really pan out. The third one is been re-factored(?) to "something totally new or different" (?)
