Firewall settings for running a server

Post by evert »

Hi everyone!

Which TCP/UDP port(s) should I open in my firewall to make my crossfire server fully accessable for anyone on the Internet?

so port 13327 will allow clients to connect to me, and port 13326 will make my server show up in the metaserver list?

Are both TCP traffic only?

Note that 13327 is for incoming connections, and 13326 for outgoing. So you probably only want to open incoming tcp/13327, assuming your firewall is not evil enough to block outgoing connections to high ports. :)

For getting your server shown on the metaserver list, check the "metaserver_notification" setting in the settings file.
