madmen abuse
There are a number of human characters within the crossfire game that, for their differences or for issues unknown, have been labelled "madmen". These so-called "madmen" are regularly and mercilessly slaughtered by player characters. Is this an abuse that should be taken seriously and prevented within the game?

The only time I see that happen is when some player gets pissed off at someone hoarding a map and/or using scripts to automatically cast spells and attacks him.
I know it's not an excusable behaviour, but I totally sympathise with them.. I hate scripted playing and/or map hoarding (just mainly TC and raffle) as any other man.. If there was no jail time for it (or if I was an "enforcer", someone DM's choose to deal with scripters or map hoarders) I'd probably do it my self.

I expect that it does indeed have trolls.hoxu wrote:Does your game have trolls?poingabunter wrote:We are obviously talking about two completely different games.

Perhaps a new class and some new skills should be created. The headshrinker class which gets skills like psychoanalysis, behaviour modification. Special items like prozac and thorozine could be added to the game as well. With these skills, items and some time the Madmen could be cured rather then killed. This would be a much kinder way of handling them (and perhaps the pyromaniac or even the postmen?)
Perhaps you are right and we should not be encouraging the wholesale slaughter of the mentally ill.
