osx client

Post by Aaron »

Leaf: this will probably need to be moved to programming and development forum eventually, but it would be nice to have it hang around here for a bit.

ok, we need a client for osx. i know there are two availible, but they require either X or gtk, which are bassicly damned hard to get installed. the client will have to be native osx widgets, probably cocoa or the brused metal. anyone want to volunteer to work on this? i would like to do it, but i need to learn C and the osx toolkits first.

tchize: i was told to talk to you about an effort to standerdize all these clients. anything important i need to know?

also, if anyone has GOOD tutorials or links to osx stuff, gtk, x, or toolkits, they would be appreciated.

I think someone had a native client of some sort working a while back.

I started one. It got put to one side for a while due to real life intruding.

I plan to pick it up again. I had the networkign and text communication working fine, but was having trouble with the graphics. Will see if I can get them working this time :)

That's as much as I got reliably working. I had a graphics display of sorts, but it didn't work properly (looked corrupted).
