can anyone tell your damn provider to unblock t-online or 1und1 ip's

The ISP's in question failed to respond to Real Time's requests and reports of port scanning and other hacking attempts. So, they are blocked...

Maybe there should be another metaserver out there. A synced mirror somewhere to direct players to the registered game servers (what would be nice would be a couple of mini-metaservers that just grabbed the info from the main metaserver and handed it out to the clients).

There should be two connection points anyway in case realtime is not online and for players on ISPs that have been blocked by real-time. Two is better than one anyway.

Now someone reliable would have to host it.



p.s. I think that real-time should block ISPs that do not respond to abuses by their clients. If you are a customer of such an ISP you should inform them of this loss of access to services due to their policy and request they address these issues with their other clients.
