Boots of Clawing

Post by QuantumSawdust »

Might I suggest that boots of clawing affect WC and/or dam? Perhaps something like wc+3 or dam +5.

Because unless I'm mistaken, at the moment they do nothing (at least every one I've ever found has done nothing), which doesn't fit with their in-game description of "aid greatly in combat"
It would also be great if changes affected current boots of clawing (and all varients) rather than only new ones.

ok, sorry abou that

Please post the additional requests as new topics - otherwise this will need to be split up at some point in the future.

I agree.
Boots of clawing should follow true to their name.
I suggest a (+3 wc) and a (+2 ac) with an item power of 5.

speaking of clawing, what about weapons made just for dragons? like strap on claws that are only magical. i guess anyone else could use them, and it could give the odder attacktypes to dragons like death and sleep, etc. also dragon armour would be nice to have... :-D

Well, for humanoids clawing isn't very useful. Weapons are almost always more powerful, and karate is more powerful if weapons are not used for some reason. The main advantage of clawing for dragons is that they can be enchanted, which I'm assuming boots of clawing couldn't do.

Oh yeah. :D
I've always wondered why dragons can get experience in two or one handed weapons, but humaniods cant get clawing.

unless you can pick 'dragon' as a class type, it probably wont happen. but dragons can go with evoker and that has one handed in it.
