How do I drop an item?

Post by Guest »

Hi All,

I haven't played Crossfire in a LONG time, downloaded the Win32 version today, and got it running. However, I don't remember how to drop an item. I thought I just had to right click on it in my inventory, but when I do it just says something like 'There are only 2 clubs'

Any help is appreciated.

you are probably using gcfclient and have the 'count' value set. When it is set, you will use this as a quantity to drop, if the number is higher than 2, dropping more than that isn't possible, hence the message you see.

This does suggest though that the client should only use the count value where it is valid though, maybe it should also reset the count value if it isn't? - in any case this leads to various UI design issues which are all rather evil - I avoided using a count in jcrossclient for precisely that reason, global settings of that kind are bad practice in general..
