I found a prayerbook of glyph and learned it. Anyone have any idea what the spell glyph is?

Its a level 12 prayer, and uses 5 grace. But what does it do?

Nothing about that in the spoilers on http://crossfire.real-time.com/. Looks like a spell that has been added since version 1.3. Till someone else comes up with an idea I suggest experimenting with it and telling us about your results.

Here's a quick summary...


It works like the Mage Rune of <something> spells..

invoke glyph <prayer name>

Which will cast in the direction you're facing

invoke glyph heal will place a glyph of healing in front of your character.

Good question, I'm not sure.. Does anyone else know for sure?

From what I observed, they disappear after they have been used.

Glyphs (like traps) are not always visible - they "flash"

I'm asking because I left a few glyphs of restoration in a unique area (our guildhouse) for my kids, and when they tried to use them, the glyphs were gone. Marking rune, on the other hand, stays forever (I have some in the guild house that have been there for two weeks). Does magic rune disappear too?

Correct. If used on a unique map (guild house, apartment, etc.) marking rune will remain forever. They can be removed by standing on them (maybe next to - not sure..) and casting the disarm spell.

Removing is indeed done by standing next to & facing the marking rune.

I know this much what I'm asking is if the other runes (glyph included) vanish after a limited time.
