New Maps

Post by timbo »

I'm making a series of new maps for levels 101+ each one will be progressively harder so this map will be the easiest of the bunch and it's really not all that easy, but can be finished by all classes.

Some of the bosses...particularly the Highlords and the Dragons I'm hoping require 2 people.

I need some people to test out my maps and let me know what they think. Some monsters might be too easy...some too tough and not enough exp...etc.

Since whenever I post to the crossfire email list it gets bounced. So if you would like a copy of my first dungeon just send me a pm with your email in it.

The entrance hasnt been put in yet but a door is there for you to just add it to scorn or navar or wherever you want to test it out.

Have fun

If you can post the bounce message we can lookinto what is causing that.
I would suspect you'll have more luck on the list, so perhaps getting the bounce removed would be more help then posting here.

That being said, are you running the maps on a server somewhere to try, or do you need us to put them on our own server?

I'm trying to get my own server to work but I'm having some issues.

If someone had a personal server they wouldnt mind putting them on for me that would be greatly appreciated so I could test them out.

looks like the message is being caught by some list-side spam filters. You might want to try posting something less spam-like (note that this doesn't neccessarily mean useful content, look at some of mikee's past posts for examples of this).

Well I've worked out a lot of kinks in the 2 dungeons and Ive editted scorn a bit to accomodate levelling up players very quickly.

Let me know if you want the updates.

So I still got 3 dungeons to go. The dragons are still really tough, but not impossible.

The general consensus among several of the developers is that players can level up too quickly already. Do not hold your breath awaiting glad tidings and eager acceptance of "easy to level up fast" maps. Especially not changes in Scorn to give players less reason to leave Scorn. One of the reasons I broke apart the old Training Center and moved the maps out to various locations in the wilderness was to get people out of Scorn. The next things I am considering moving out of Scorn are the Valriel/Gorokh random dungeons (when I get some more free time for mapping).

I added a dungeon where every chicken gives 100 million exp in scorn so that people could test out my maps on their server.

I hardly think that adding more dungeons like heaven would do the game any favors.

Ah! I misunderstood your intent. Ok, I get it now. :-)
