Fun with alchemy

Post by Ryo »

Hello.

I decided to have some fun with alchemy/bowyery/smithery & so on.

After experimenting, i found a nice way to make items easily, and in big quantities with less pain.

Here's how i do that. Let's suppose i wanna make Slay Dragon arrows (recipe in bowyer shop, so this isn't really a spoiler imo)
* pick arrows and dragon claws in inventory
* make sure all items are locked except those 2
* go to bowyer shop
* step on workbench, apply it (thus opening it)
* now the whole command to make arrows is:
drop 1 claw; drop 20 arrow; use_skill bowyer; east; west; apply; get

This will make (at most) 20 slay dragons arrows
With this command you can (more easily) mass produce arrows.
Side note: after the first time you make arrows, you should see unidentified arrows in inventory, lock'em before continuing, else you'll have 2 matching items for the 'drop', thus messing the formulea :-)

The command can be reused for other alchemy formuleas, just adapt it at will.

A few more notes:
* you'll prolly notice weird behaviour, ie some opening/closing of cauldron / workbench. Weird, but that works, so... (the 'apply' is mandatory, even if it would seem the cauldron ends up opened without it... but you wouldn't get the arrows)
* you CAN drop 40 arrows & 2 claws to make 40 arrows. But you will get only the xp for 20/1 (5000 in mental). So think twice before deciding what to do :-)

Hope this helps some people, or make you laugh :-)
