dont look 2 good

Post by lukebown »

bad pts:

bad grathix

hard to get the hand of commands

it tels u to say hello world to open a door, and when u do it it dont work

moves way too fast when walking

have to download 2 seprate things to play it

no clear way of useing or equiping items

compaired to other massivly multiplayer role playing games this is a role playing game, barly multiplayer.

information about classes and races is minimal, and hard to get ( i mean walking infront of a teleporter to get some info on every class, especaly when pressing a button once, quickly, makes it run liek 7 squares)

proberly easy to memory edit ( might b a good pt for some ppl)

good pts:

its free

1. Graphic whore... You don't DESERVE a good game like CrossFire!

2. One word: KEYBINDINGS.

3.Say. Not just type, SAY. That means use the say command. Like, 'say hello world, not just 'hello world.

4. Type run_stop before you do anything. The client is set to auto-run when it's first installed, turning that off helps a lot. You can run when you want by holding down the ctrl key while moving.

5. Oh. Wow. TWO downloads. That's SO AMAZINGLY HARD..... Wow. I could NEVER do that... </retard>

6. Middle click. Works everytime.

7. So you've never spent any time on the GravityRO server, eventually turning on exall to make the damn heal-beggars shut up, then getting banned for it? Maybe you WERE one of the heal-beggars... There's also rarely ever a problem with kill-stealers, server-breakers or other such jackassery that takes place constantly on most mainstream MMOs. They suck, this one rocks, for the very reason that it has less people on the server at any given time.

8. Turn off run like I said, then it's real easy to get the info by itself. Then actually read it. It's minimal and hard to understand if you're COMPLETELY ILLITERATE.

9. What exactly do you mean by "memory edit"? Hack the client, modify server code if you own a server? Those are OBVIOUS good points, how could they be bad?

Forgive me if I were a bit harsh on your less well-grounded and more completely idiotic remarks. ("bad grathix"? Learn to spell, kid. Then learn to play the game instead of staring at the pretty pictures.)

Hey now.. be nice - lets try to avoiding the flame fest. Or, further fanning of the flames.

Well, I'm only flaming the dumb stuff he says. There ARE some legitimate concerns, each addressed with something considerably less flame-war-provoking than a verbal red-hot firepoker.

Pssh. Glitches my foot, that's how the game's supposed to run.

Oh, and did you see that brand new cordless optical mouse with three buttons for sale at office depot? That's right, THREE buttons!

None of those are "glitches", they are indented. With the small exception of of being defaultly set to run. That wasn't the case when I started playing, but it may be a new bug that has popped up and does deserve being looked into.

Scroll wheels count as a middle mouse button. If the scroll wheel button doesn't work for you, than that's an issue with your mouse driver and it's setup, not with crossfire.

What do you mean the default is set to run?

I hold down the control key (and keep it held down) and then use the direction keys to control which way I run and/or attack.

If I need to do any quick steps, like through a maze or something, I let up the control key and hit the direction keys on the numeric keypad to take a step or two and then continue using the control key.

I'm not sure, but based upon what both lukebrown and Arekusanderu are saying, their characters started out as if they typed "run" command when their character was made. This might be user error, but it's possible there is a bug.
