Crossfire doesnt work (Windows Client)

Ive downloaded Crossfire for windows but when i go to play it this is what happens..........i open it then i chose the first or second server and then this thing pops up about logging in and before it fully loads it says..............you have chosen to end a non responsive program when i didnt click on x or anything like that....ive tried going into different servers several times and it does the same thing........whats happening?

What version of Windows are you using?

The client will only work with WinXP and Win2K

What version of GTK are you using?

It should be version 2.4

oh mine is like 1.6.1

Then grab either 1.7.1 version ( http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/cros ... e?download ) or snapshot (more recent, but may be less stable, http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/cros ... e?download )
