How do you remove curse?

Hello All,

I am a newbie to this game. I put on plate mail, which I found at 'Newbie House' in Scon. The plate mail is cursed.

Two things:
1) How do I get it off? I went to the magic shops and can not find remove curse and all the magic stuff is WAY more then little newbie (Lvl. 3) can afford.

2) Who in the right mind puts curse thing in a newbie house?

1. ask for a higher level player to get you an uncurse scroll
or
pray to your god (hopefully like Gaea, Mostrai, Lythander) to uncurse it.
2. A very sick individual.

1) If you can't afford it, ask for help from other players. Also, many gods will uncurse stuff if you pray to them alot, but I doubt that a level 3 would have enough grace points for a god to do that.

2) The cursed item was randomly generated. Lower level places tend to have a little less cursed stuff and such, but really, you just had bad luck.

Generally the idea at low levels, is to be careful of the fact that items may be cursed ad low levels. This is something that one learns when playing the somewhat clasic game 'nethack', which has similar rules with cursed stuff.

Thanks guys. Just my bad luck I guess. Just funny that the first piece of REAL armor had to get is cursed.

well of course since mikee started playing on MF, he might be leaving cursed items lying around the newbie houses...
