I think you should have the option of having a scroll bar for your skills, as well as the resistances!

I have one too many skills, so that if I raise the window and stretch it as tall as possible, lowering the map so that I can still see half the 'food' number, I can't see one of the skills!

Indeed this can be a problem at smaller resolutions, though it works perfectly fine at 1280x1024... But yeah, it should be made to work with 1024x768

heh, i was having troubles with the skill list even at 1400x1050!

True, even at 1280x1024 it took a fair bit of tweaking to get it to a way that works nicely for me.

Two skills ago now (thats right, now its TWO too many!), I had to tweak it to see a few. But now I can't see those two...

It would be great if you could scroll bar it.
I frequently use the 'skills' command.. :P

the client needs a lot of updating. its pretty ugly. the new gtk+ client for linux is looking better, but a few to many bugs for much serious playing.

targetnight: that server in your sig would be 'crossfire.metalforge.net' i think...

scroll bars will take at least the same space as now, because you have to keep writing the skills' names.
and you'll always use the 'skills' command to know if you need 300 or 3000 xp to next level...

however, if the display were switched to 1 column, which displayed
foo m XP - lvl n. next lvl at p
then the display would possibly be narrower than currently (and certainly not much wider), whilst displaying the leveling info from the skills command. (it wouldn't be showing the permenent xp, but then you only need to worry about that when you die anyway....
