gtk2 client should have rectified most of that, now the viewable area is much bigger, so that exits are easier to see.

reducing the amount of hills and mountains would further increase view range....

much bigger as in? My view-range is already 17x17 (default is 11x11)

The problem is that there are not much exits to see... More roads, paths and others are needed to guide players

I think the new default is 24x24

Yeah, I think it's nicer using odd sizes so the player is in the center :-/
