About 'Secure Trading'

Post by Lauwenmark »

Looks like there are two groups here:

- The first one wants secure trade;
- The other wants trading to stay like it is now.

So I suggest a middle-term: leave trading as it is now (second group happy), but make some "trading houses" available, where you can do secure trading, maybe for a small fee (first group happy).

Everyone happy ?

I'm part of that Barbaric Hordes ^_^
And I enjoy CF!!!

Nice idea, for securing trading....
But don't you think also passed a certain level you just don't care for money?
I mean, when you're middle/high level, there are quite many places where you can find muuuuuuuch money... true it takes some time to collect, but it's not that hard.
I for one rather give items than sell.... Takes too much place in apartments :-)

Just my 2 cents of €

I've actually done Tux before... :-) I think I still have it at lemur.elvenrealms.net

new ideas

Post by jensen »

1For example, a conjure lava spell. It could be used for various things, like the suggested cooking, killing monsters(like a lavabolt spell)

2 More towns, like Newbie Town, easy treasure, but if your over level ten, you can't come in. The transporting, just put a teleporter in Scorn. If you become level 11 in Newbie town, you go back to Scorn. Sorry if it's complicated.

3 I suggest that you create a poisonbolt spell, because there are not many spells that don't destroy or freeze monster items. This poison spell should not destroy items, but, be weaker than fire spells. Also, please add water spells, instead of getting burned or frozen, the monster's items get weaker(watered down).

Now that I've said a mouthful, maybe these ideas can be made work. Feel free to change them.

1. I would like to see some means of transport - not necessarily so I can get from one place to another, but for carrying heavy things. Perhaps similar to a pet: a large monster with a lot of carrying capacity (and an appetite to go with it). And of course a beast of burden can't follow its owner everywhere, like inside a house.

2. How about an ability to fly or otherwise move fast over maps under your own control?

3. And perhaps some sort of information office - somewhere that I could go and find out how to get to a certain place. Yes, it is nice to discover things by chance, but since the world map has become so huge, it can be very frustrating to creep around in mountain ranges without finding anything. Perhaps this information could be more or less precise, depending on circumstances.

Lol. 8)
But don't offend him. Sometimes, it's someone's hobby to go around posting on ancient topics [like me ].
Since the topic is still here, and if people look on "most recent post" and see that it wasn't so long ago, they are likely to come and look anyway, regardless of date. And, it beats making more topics

And ideas are always good to have on the same screen, since DMs just have to come here and see the latest ideas, instead of going around the forum and finding one idea per topic :P
AAGH!!! CAN'T SLEEP!!!
