Except I find 2hp per second slower than I regerate when I use my battle equipment. And people will just restore every so often, and it would'nt matter to them What might be good, is if each of those hits also had a permentant or semi-permentent affect, such as depleating stats or exp draining (either in all skill, or just praying, or just what skill is used with the weapon)
It is because the enchantments that some gods give weapons are more powerful than others. Right now there is no real penalty for using a weapon enchanted to any god. So everyone is using devourer weapons. The aim is to try and figure out ways to balance out the game, so that there is a compelling reason to either
1) not use devourer weapons, but those of your own god
2) worship devourers and take the penalties that come with it.
It is /not/ about making lvl 115 characters as powerful as level 15 characters, but it /is/ about forcing *all* characters to make strategic decisions with their equipment, as opposed to the 'one weapon to rule them all' approach that exists currently.
Yes, I rather hope that the draining there would be from the wearer, constanly, bypassing drain resistance, otherwise it would be very overpowered. (it would have to kill the character after they 0 exp then).
If a level 110 character got maybe 20 seconds before they were nerfed down to level 1 and killed, then it might not be such an unreasonable item to have.

Well... I think lvl 110 to lvl 1 in 20 seconds is a tad quick, but it's the right sort of idea. Perhaps only draining praying and/or the skill that the weapon uses.
no, it must be /all/ skills, and it must be fast. the stats you gave make it an instant kill weapon. It therefore must /not/ be usable for more than a couple of seconds at the most. If it only affects one or two skills, then the shear awesomeness of the weapon will make players wear it anyway, and ignore those skills.

Whoops. I did'nt see that you were rerfering to Aaron's stuffs
aww, no dragon weapons? i think dragon armour shold be makable through smithery... ONLY and maybe sacrafice your claws over an alter to have them enchanted? you claw with your claws of devours +6...
You seem to be somewhat missing the point. Dragons are /already/, if anything, overpowered against most monsters, dragons can become more powerful more easily against monsters than a humanoid player can. It's just that /possibly/ a dragonbane of devourers is overpowered against dragons.
Making dragons more powerful in general is /not/ the answer here.
Making dragons more powerful in specific at the cost of being weaker in general is.
