Pupland worldmap is about 70x40. (rough estimate, I didn't count properly...)
yep, thats why i suggested to move stoneville (dragonisland) somehow to the right :)
the second location (look at the X and Y coordinates in the URL is bottom middle

i think pupland has to be scaled a bit to make the cities fit on the world map.
oh, and where does Ancient Pupland go? I guess it cant be on the worldmap - its in the past ;)

Why not make pupland as islands in the ocean.
Such as in the Left Top Center area.

I think it would be better that way and more true to pupland.

to make it hard as hell for people to leave scorn? thats why everyone is stuck there. noone can find the north dock password, and noone wants to walk to navar. therefore, theyre stuck in scorn. you should be able to freely move around any city you want, stoping of staying as long as you want. but scorn should be a newbie town, so other people can stop in, but attract attention to other cities. also, you might end up with a bunch of people seperated by level...

hmm, inter city wars on cat2...

and why would anyone want to leave scorn if it takes time or money? and once the TC's are removed, they are stuck in scorn, bored, and taking to much time to find stuff so they can blow their life savings on a area that is too hard, and cant get back.

transportation should be free, but the quicker the route, the more risky it should be. it should take some time to get from scorn to any city by boat, but with a warning, and not so long that they think its frozen.

and it should be easier to get to the scorn dock, instead of searching tavern walls for a password, move that idea to a different town, so for example when they leave, they cant get off the dock without the scorn password...

I have to agree with the guest here, scorn is primarily a newbie town, always has been, except for the training centre, the highest level that any map in scorn is is the animal quarantine, and that has a couple of wyverns.

To someone who can fight wyverns 300 plat is not a lot of money, and after level 20 or so, they are too easy. I have a patch I want to test over then next couple of days (before placing on the tracker) to add a whereiseverybody command. Ths would let players see how popular each area is, so they could determine where to go based on that quite happily (on the basis that areas with lots of people have lots to do).

And of course there is always the mikee-like

'shout Scorn is teh ghey, where are the interesting qeusts? Death to..., etc
:)

seems like the best short term solutions is to make mikee learn cvs, then move the TC, heaven, and hell from scorn. next is to make ships have a charge, or take longer. im against both, but i woudnt mid waiting less than 20 seconds. next is to get sam to say usefull things like alerts about events in other cities. like woo is going to beat yugi again in brest. or alchemy workshop in scorn town center. archery practice in raffle 3.

Starting cities have to have a certain amount of support facilities for players to get to a level where they can move pretty well around the world. Scorn is still the easiest city to start in, Navar is a up and comer. I think it will be a while untill we add another since it would be good to figure out what is exactly required for good gameplay.

As for cities of residence, that is a different issue. Really there is no advantage to reside in any city over another except for the apartment/guild issue. All options favour Scorn at the moment because it has the most established maps and player base but this will not always be the case I think. I would like to someday make citizenship something you can choose. You could buy citizenship in any city that offered it (but only be a citizen of a single city at one time), it would impact the way you are treated in shops and perhaps how NPCs react to you. If you used shops from foreign cities you would pay more and get less for things than in your home region, NPCs may have a differnet list of things to talk about if you are a local.
Maybe at that time the apartment code could be modified so that your apartment would exit in the city you are a citizen of.

2 starting cities are enough I think. Good to have lots of places that one needs to go exploring to find.

The arches will be called blablabla_feast.arc
(Crossfire protocall not to acc name the arches after specific areas).
