I would really like to run my server on a non-standard port due to some security concers I have but it seems like this may not be an option, am I correct in assuming that?

I am havng some problems understanding why the server module allows you to specify a -csport value thereby allowing you to run the server on any port you wish. While there is nothing I can find in the client to allow me to connect to anything but the default port of 13327.

Not sure how this is done with the Windows based client, but from the command line:
gcfclient -server <server_name> -<options>
ex:
gcfclient -server crossfire.metalforge.net -port 8080

It would appear that way.
The cf.schmorp.de server is available on port 70 and is listed in the metaserver.
