Hah! follow each one now
Remember... the DMs could also create a few doezen temp chars and give them all DM powers to follow you If it's too much work to look at all those clients at once, they chould script them to follow you and give log files
*ponders evil DM script drones following everybody and reporting back to the DMs.* Big Brother is watching you...
A. DM will need scripting ability, and "harmful" scripts are banned, so I could technically use one to map camp.
B. I though multiple DM chars were only to be used for testing.
C. There are ways to dump a DM.
D. It would be considered a violation of apts if they followed you into your unique map
E. It could cause deaths of players in darkened maps as the DM has no stealth bonus.

...Need more rebukes?...
Point D could easily be avoided by proper scripting, and point E could be avoided by setting the tmp chars up properly... and leaf could manually override point C... I don't see the point in A, how is such a script harmful except for point E which I've already overturned? .... but in any case, point B still stands, and the DMs likely would'nt do such as it would'nt be worth the effort anyways.
You miss the point. You can dump a DM.. It requires a plan though.
And the point of causing Pk's is what DM's are adverse to. Leaf got pissed when I killed neptune by removing my ring of theives and elven boots in the Dragon Cave, so why should he not get annoyed if a DM causes a player death? It would be awfully hypocritical if he didn't And we all know Leaf tries to keep things all around fair, else no one would play on metalforge.

Opps. I did miss the point of that one about dumping a DM (I misread it), but that could still be overridden with a well done script... (even if you ditch them in a no magic area, the teleport DM command could easily deal with that)
And all of this about PKs is true, but I don't see how a DM doing that would cause PKs, as a DM could easily give himself stealth.
But in any case, your point B is still quite valid, and DM's don't (yet) have enough reason for it to be worth the effort. I'm getting tired of this useless argument that somehow came out of what was susposed to be an attempt at humor

Eh?
I removed or caused you to remove the ring of thieves and elven boots?
I don't recall that.
I was angry over this?
I don't recall that either.. and I know because it wasn't that long ago. *cough* Thu Jan 6 05:18:15 UTC 2005 *cough*

I wouldn't be annoyed because I know that if this would happen the DM in question would do what they could to make up for the unintended or accidental player death.
