overpowered smithery

Post by bencha »

think smithery skill grows too fast, it can be 1/3 of your total exp. maybe 10 exp instead of 25 will be fine.

heh, someone hasn't figured out scripting alchemy exp properly.....

Smithery can get to lvl 10-15 easily just from identifying stuff, beyond that it can be quite hard to level without creating stuff (and most good things to create involve monster bits....)

try identify poisoned boozes & amulets, you get your first levels in alchemy. then water is your friend ( as say AA )

jewelry is quite harder to increase. maybe amulets id should be jewelry skill instead of alchemy.

since this isn't the spoiler forum, I won't explain here what it is you could be doing that is much quicker, suffice to say that with enough money you can buy your way to level 20-30 alchemy in well under an hour .

And yes, I agree that logically amulets should really be identified with jeweler rather than alchemy.

I don't think smithing is overpowered. Though the exp is'nt too hard to get, it's a pretty useless skill.

I do agree that amulets should ID with jewlery instead of alchemy. (Though jewlery is also rather useless like smithing)

Yeah, but almost everybody has the identify spell, a rod of knowledge of identify, or enough identify scrolls that is does'nt really matter.

Try going on TC sprees. I trust they are more exp (lv 100 in a week, some have said) than creation skills (anyone here have over lv 50?). It's possible to have smithery as 1/3 your total exp, but that's true of any skill. It would be quicker done with weapons/evocations. I can't level thaumaturgy or jeweler near even lv 10 yet, but I suspect it's supposed to be difficult.

From identification or creation? Details? I'd really like a way to level jeweler and thau.
