Earth walls are yet another problem, [/me waits for leaf to create yet another subthread from this onebort wrote: earth walls.

I do think that monsters should attack these when they can't see a player or its pets. This will stop the exploit where earth walls block of high level monsters who are too dumb to realise they are being earthwalled and then zapped repeatedly.
To balance this out a different spell, wall of impedement (only with a better name). That can't be attacked or moved past, but that fade and disappear after a time. I am inclined to think they should also be treated like a golem (no spell point recharge, no other spells at the same time).
maybe a similar thing could be done with a low wall, to encourage archery a bit more since no one seems to use this to any great extent (this requires that the changes to map flags that was being discussed on the devel list a while back takes place though).
Oh dear, I guess that may well nerf things for the map campers, what a shame....
