They allready do damage on contact with fire touch, I think that's enougth to reflect they are made of fire. Giving an aura to them will not add so much, only make them powerful.

I don't think that's a good idea.. it would make fireborns too powerful. Imagine someone leaving their character in a room with generators.. automatic exping

It is a bit strange though that fireborns can hold scrolls & potions, etc and not melt ice cubes, but I guess they would be quite hopeless to play if they couldn't use any equipment though.
Melting icecubes would be a nice, new skill for them though.
Slight modification of this would be that the fireborn would need to re-enable the aura every once in a while (without using sp/gr maybe)..
You know... fireborn relaxes.. not as angry any more.. fire dies down.. he get's ticked.. fire grows.. This would aleviate the problem of someone standing next to a generator..
Also.. while the aura is in effect, even higher food penalty..
