I think that there should be no cap on leveling. So players can level to level 200, per chance. Though there are numerous concerns with having players be "unfair", I suggest that if such a player were too high a level and unfair with dealing against other players, that there be like another world. Like in Diablo (Blizzard(R)), There are different areas that high levels can base thier operations. But Still be allowed to go back to noob land. But noobs cannot be able to goto High level land, because they need a special title that is applied when high levels go through some sort of portal or exit that brands them "High Player - Do not piss off". It would extend the game to make additional "Worlds". No talk about "Medieval games cant goto other worlds". The Game warcraft III, frozen throne, has you goto draenor. So Perhaps it is possible that there be another world, dimension, whatever. More difficult, and hard to get to. Think AP, and how difficult it was.

No, levelling cap is a good thing. If there was no cap I'd spend my life levelling and /would/ be level 200. However you do it eventually there is a cap because of the maximum integer the server can store. Of course you can go for a larger data structure to store the score, but there will always be a limit.
Yes.. and No.
Yes if there is actual interest, and people actually work together. No, if I have to make all maps by myself.
Worlds are an idea to extend and keep interest for our players, some on their ?5th? char.
I suggest making new worlds, one with a definite structure. The existing world becomes too easy, and some players I know do Chaos quests to stave off boredom. I propose adding another world, with harder maps, and a potential dynamic type of maps.
BTW: One of my Ideas is making a dynamic world map. Where it could reaarange it self. Within limits of course. Then people who live off of cheating with a mep editor, and not actually learning, say the story of the map, then they have it more diffucult. But this is just an idea.
NOTE: I will engage on making a potential new world for 100+ players, if and only if, people have interest.

This can probably be done with scripting in python, I am thinking of dynamically inserting quest critical objects into the map. Now, if the script produces objects which are random to an extent, yet several objects put together make sense to a player ingame it would no longer be possible to cheat by looking up the map, not even the code. One would have to go to a greater length of creating custom version of the script which would use predetermined random seeds to reproduce a particular game situation. But all this is doing is just increasing the cost for a player to cheat. The beauty if crossfire is it being open source, and the game is not to win but to enjoy the process. Of course you are not gonna have much fun if that mod keeps getting you all the time, that's where a fair bit of winning comes inbort wrote:BTW: One of my Ideas is making a dynamic world map. I am sure many people will be intrested, there is a fair number of lvl 100+ character out there. It may be quite a challenge to get the balance right for higher lvls, it's not like you can come back and do it later when you are 30s lvl higherbort wrote:NOTE: I will engage on making a potential new world for 100+ players, if and only if, people have interest.
