Favourite god

Post by philc »

Tell me, who do you worship? And what do you do to stay on the good side of your God?
Do you pray to your god regularly? Do you make sacrifices?

Actually that was more a roleplaying question. :)
And I really like the idea of sacrificing objects to make your god happy. Maybe something like flowers to Gaea, goats to Devourers... Of course Gaea should be angered when a follower sacrifies a goat.

And I'm surprised that most people voted for being an atheist. Do you always play a barbarian who doesn't get past level 5 and never learns to read or do you not like the current gods? :?

I voted atheist.
As everyone here knows, I make atheist mainly for role playing, at least my character is ... characterized. And in the end i think cf good system need revision, now it is just the same as having another ton of spells. No progression throward a "greater" benefit, like becoming god friend or preferite follower.

People choosing to play an athiest.. :?

Why?

Bragging rights to say you reach level XYZ without being able to cast restoration, heal, cure disease, etc?

Or, do the current god benefits not appealing enough?

The granted spells or "gift" items not useful or fun to use?

Or, is it some other aspect?

Well, I find my characters more easily on the scorelist at jyu. Actually it's pretty much a matter of principle. "I have the only atheist character in top ten"

You can cope without those.
