This portion does not require two players to open the gates.
Access to the "right" spell (cast, wand, scroll, etc.) is all that is necessary.
Hint: what spell allows you to play two "beings" at once?

Personally, I've ranged from magic missile and firebolt to clawing and a head-cutter of Ixalovh +11 [different characters]. Nothing seems to effectively destroy the doors... Is the "holo-wall" [dun3] really necessary?
I tried lockpicking them, and that worked ok, about 10 tries [lv 2 lockpicking, usually 4 or 5 tries on normal door ]. That works, but for those of us who don't have lockpicks/don't use lockpicking it's a serious waste of time trying to break down the doors.

Yes. Welcome to Pupland.
There's probably 10 different ways to eventually solve a Pupland map, but only 1 of those theoretical 10 solutions is magnitudes easier or faster to use.

The map is favoring or encouraging a player to use multiple skills that don't happen to include one-handed, two-handed, clawing, karate, etc.

However, I have once again hit a standstill. A friend [darius I think] and I were both in warrior path [I stood on the gate while he came around the corridor and entered ] and we came to a few doors and 2 "Keys of chance".

We couldn't figure it out! We went downstairs and killed the trolls, tried pulling every lever, went down every passage... nothing worked!
So, we got tired of that and left.
Err excuse my earlier very short post, but the entrance is INTENDED to be opened by two people on the outside, the doors are tough to destroy yes, but get iunno 50+ attack skill and it opens quickly, the no magic in sorcerors.. is purposeful, that boulder thing.. well you really dont seem to be paying attention.
