Grace is a bit weird??

Perhaps its supposed to work that way:

1. when I pray on an altar of Mostrai, I seem get more grace than my max? Right now I have 30/15

2. when I use holy word etc, I can get into negative, like -5/15.

It works fine, but I just wondered.

ya it orks that way - if your graces in the negatives try not to push your luck and keep casting as you may get slapped down for that by your god.

Praying on the alter of yoru God allows you to get 2x your maz grace (hence the 30/15). I had heard you needed to be at lease lvl 10 prayer for that to work through.

Negative grace is allowed, usually once you get negative your god will start to ignore your prayers. If you get negative enough they will demand you stop everything else and pray to them (which can get you killed in the middle of a dungeon) -- or in extreme cases your god will strike you down for going too negative. I had heard that you were struck down at -150 grace, but yesterday I was at -163 and nothing happened so..
(if you are wondering, once you have spells that cost 150 grace to cast, it's easy to get large negative values )

Actually the amount of grace a god will give is variable depending on the god, Ixalovh for example gives less grace than others but sometimes gives lotsa mana.
