Which is the best god for raw killing power?

No simple answer.

Each god has it's own strength and weakness.

Some make leveling up in prayer very easy earlier on, but more time consuming later. Others are the opposite.

As for killing power - how do you want to "kill" things?

Regular spells (such as holy word or summon avatar) or special spells (wall of thorns or certain diseases) or via enchanted weapons (<weapon> of Devourers) or some other way?

Apparently Sorig is supposed to have the most powerful god given killing prayer - Divine Shocking, but it appears to fade in comparison with the same lvl of Ball Lightning(evocation)

Doesn't Divine Shock do god power damage, which cannot be stopped by electricity resistance? (ball lightning not very good against electric-type creatures).. I would say if that is the case (god power damage) then it would be the most powerful, even if not by-level, by overall effectivity..
