Wondering:
Who took my keys to Laughing Skull guild?
What was the reason for doing so, as I did not get any notice.
Why wasn't I reimbursed (I purchased the guild originally and did not see 30k diamonds for it, not that I was willing to part with it in the first place)
When did this all happen?
I understand there are certain rules, and I am aware that (I guess?) a DM can do as he/she pleases when they see fit -- but I thought that was related to cheating, so if I obtain items and such by cheating, the DM can take it away.. Even in such case, you'd think it would be common curtesy to inform a player why certain things are happening?
So.. anyone care to tell me what happened? Rules changing mid-game or on the fly to fit someones agenda is just not good practice.. I guess if I'm not welcomed as a player (for my previous transgressions: IE pkilling scripted bots, and converting some altars which was fully in the games design and no cheating was used) could have been told to me.. As much as I like crossfire, and as long as I have been playing, if I must leave, I shall..
..If not, I'd appreciate people on power trip to stop doing so... it's only a freaking game...
..and despite of what someone may say, since I PURCHASED laughing skull and someone re-sold it because I took a 2-month break, I still am a rightful owner of the guild and I'd like my keys back. Thanks..

Do you have guildmates?Zortan wrote:Who took my keys to Laughing Skull guild?
Before guessing anything I'd like to know if I really understood it right that you own three guilds?Zortan wrote:What was the reason for doing so, as I did not get any notice.

Actually, yes, I own 3 guilds.. I don't mind having members (in fact, one guild: Damned Heretics is doing pretty good right now and I'm glad there was someone who wanted to run it..)
Any way.. There was a big broohaha about me owning 3 guilds already.. There were people who supposedly wanted to join and no guilds were available.. After getting schooled by Katia I opened up the guilds for membership/for someone to take over (See: http://www.metalforge.net/cfmb/viewtopic.php?t=346)
No one wanted to join after all of the hassle I was put through, so Leaf said I could keep them all.. Well, like I said, I don't want to keep them unused, but I do want to keep them.. Finding out that Laughing Skull was re-sold without my knowledge was bad enough, finding out today that my keys were taken without even common curtesy of letting me know was even worse..
I'm asking for the keys back because:
a) I paid to own the guild
b) I obeyed the rules and the DM's requests and put the guilds up for membership. In the end, Leaf said I could keep them since all the sudden interest died, almost as fast as it grew.. They're still open for membership, FYI.
c) Keys were taken away without my knowledge, consent or common curtesy of letting me know why..
d) The guilds can and will remain the responsibility of those who are taking care of them right now.. I will not deny the good work the guildmasters are doing, HOWEVER I bought the guilds and I don't believe I should be denied their usage.. Honestly, all I use them for in the first place is portals, but that's my own need.. As far as equipment, you (if you're a DM) should come see my apartment.. I have plenty of everything.. I guess I *should* share it, but I kind of like how my apartment is decorated.. Bottom line, if there is concern that I might (and let me be blunt) loot the guild.. loose it.. I have the means (if I don't already possess couple spares) to get any item my self...and yes.. I know most (99%) where to get the things I need.. I've been playing this game a while..
e)..At some point, when the financial situation is fixed (ie: money is worthless right now) I would like to be able to start charging rent.. If you're a poor student.. I'll take that into consideration when I evict you..hehehehehe.. Just kidding..

From my point of view buying a guild without two other players *is* breaking rules. Also, it seems that on many servers the unwritten rule seems to be one guild leadership per player...

But yeah, they should've at least left a note or something. I for one used to leave notes using the create command when I took something away from players on my server.

You cannot buy a guild without two other players..So there had to have been 3 players... 3 players, 3 races 3 gods, 3 guilds..But what difference would that make, really?
Plus considering when I actually made the purchase, people had plenty opportunity to do the same.. I didn't use any tricks or bugs to come up with 60,000 diamonds.. My hard-work should be as rewarding as someone elses.. Keep in mind that we're not in real world.. I was not aware of any rules regarding who can own a guild or how many.. As far as role-playing goes, I am the follower of Variel (or other) and have set-up camp in whatever town was left from being corrupted by infidels..
Besides the point -- It's not like I'm denying people membership or access.. I simply wanted to be the head-cheese (not even the guild master, just the guild owner).. Right now I gave guild-mastership of one of the guilds I owned to someone because they asked me for it (this is even after Leaf said I could keep my guilds and do as I please).. I'm still the owner, but I want this player to do as they please with their guild (short of taking the owners keys away, as is what happened here with LS)..
Laughing Skull (guild in question) was re-sold because I was idle for 2 months, which is not unusual just to me.. I know other people idle -- maybe come in for 10-15 mins here and there when they can.. Any who.. It happened.. What do we do now? We have dual-ownership and one owner (the new one) is questioning the ownership of the old..
Well.. If I were a jerk, since I'm the original owner, I would say, get lost, you have no claim, you give me the key and story is over.. the DM that re-sold the guild without doing some research should refund the new owner the money they spent purchasing the guild..I believe based on the fact that I purchased the guild first, I am the rightful owner...
But, I'm not a jerk (not always any way) so I say let the new owner manage his own guild just the way it is now, but since I purchased it fair and square, I want equal usage (and I keep stressing that I mainly use the guild for portals, as one of the DM's saw, I have plenty of artifacts and money and know where to get them IF I need more than 5 of each)..
Bottom line, all I ask is to keep my keys -- is that too much to ask? Like I said, I *own* the guild in the first place, so I could ask for keys from every existing member.. However, I'm being respectful of the blunder that occured and simply ask for my claim to be acknowledged.
