Corrosion, holy symbols

Post by jan »

A handful of questions:

1. When my stuff gets corroded by acid or rust monsters, is there a way to repair the damage? I had collected a number of very good weapons and armour, which has now been reduced to rubbish. There ought to be a way to get it repaired, eg. by a blacksmith.

2. Is there a way to protect weapons etc against corrosion? Eg. 'oil +5' or something.

3. I can't find holy symbols - are they supposed to be very rare?

4. I see that one can build things - a private map? Is it possible to make a shop, where you can sell the things you've found? This could add a whole new dimension to the game, and it would be great to get something like the kind of money for things that you have to pay in the shops.

1.No there is no way other than using enchant armours which cost lots of money.
2.Get acid resist of +50 then your stuff won't corrode.
3.Check the weapon and armour stores.
4. No nothing like that (yet?).
I is sexy,ain't I?

Besides using Enchant Armor scrolls you can try using the cancellation spell (if you have it) combined with the build director spell (also if you have it). If you dont have any and know of no player willing to help you in this task and your corroded items are really worthy, i suggest you to train the skills for those spells so you can remove the corrosion this way.
Just some items cannot get uncorroded some are not really important like boxes/luggages, and i'm unsure if you can remove the corrosion of an item that wont accept Enchant scrolls.

Anyway, and very important, the cancellation spell removes plusses and minusses of all the items you have in your inventory making them non enchanted (nor positive nor negative) so beware and dont carry plusses with you when you want to remove the minusses from your corroded items :)

No, just have to look for them in the right shops, try those where many amulets/talismans appear often and you will get one sooner or later.

Map building (so far) is only implemented for one map, the storage room of guilds which was specifically added for that purpose, you can add/remove walls, floor, doors and levers connecting them and such, but not creating a new map, just modifying one already existant.

If your will is to create a map for the game i recommend you the Java Editor for crossfire :)

Ah, and about the shop, did you already visit the permanent shop in Santo Dominion?
