Right, have them play. Not exploit a game feature.

People are actively participating or playing the game instead letting a script or macro do all the work for them.

It appears we have a difference of opinion on what "playing" means.

If a feature exists, it's meant to be used.. Unless it's a bug, it's a valid feature..

Here is a scenario..People summon bunch of pets and leave them in training with the gate locked.. they have tons of food on them.. Bam.. overnight they become level 20 in summoning..

Is that a bug? Nope... It IS a feature..

Perhaps using these features is lame, but what are you going to do?

...Time out anyone who doesn't move certain number of spaces within a given amount of time..300 spaces in 10 minutes, unless they are dropping or picking up equipment.. exclude eating because it's auto-eat.. exclude using magic equipment (such as staff of rod) because they're rechargable..

Any way.. Yeah, in a perfect world...

Unless the feature allows player(s) to side step in established, in-game mechanics for greater gain - then it is an exploit.

I would say it's an exploit of the current summoned pets system and/or experience system.

I suppose one way to reduce this is, for each monster killed in a particular map, the player gets a cumlative -1% experience for each kill.

Monster 1 = 100%, Monster 2 = 99%, Monster 3 = 98%

I'm not sure of the coding requirements for this (or the resource consumption)

Reduce and limit, as much as possible, additional features that allow for such easy gains of experience.

For summoners.. bringing back the topic discussed in ohh so many other boards..

Give better summoned creatures with levels (and please LET them cast spells).. then limit the number of summoned pets (to 20-25).. That way, they get killed off sooner or later and won't last all night just sitting in a room.. or do it like golems or elementals.. they "time out" after a while.. but make them time out not as quickly as golems or elementals, PLEASE.. it's nice to have 10-20 followers walk into a room with you..maybe a 30 minute limit..

..Any way.. there isn't that many places to exploit the summon-pets "trick".. there is 1 training area worth it, and that is the undead skeleton one (as the other ones are less experience and slower regeneration).. But after you reach a certain level, getting 1 million experience over night isn't worth the trouble..

FYI, I would like to be able to kill multiple dragons with my summoned creature.. I don't see why someone with burning hands (level 1 spell) can go into a room and use 100 sp to kill about 5-10 cold or electric dragons, while I use the same 100 sp and can't kill 1..

blah blah blah summoners are weak and suck, blah blah blah were working on it, blah blah blah no your not, blah blah yes we are.

anyways, yestersday, I was playing and somehow my grace got just stupid low (about -150 to -200) and not noticing I tried to cast word recall, well... I did end up in my apartment, but it was only because I was dead.

Lythander killed me with retrobution. There was no monster, he just got mad and killed me.

This came as quit a shock to me as I've never heard of this happening before, so I just decided to warn people that this can happen.

Personally I would prefer to have a command to not let me ever get that low in grace.

That's the whole point of grace: your god may grant you the spell even if you're not worthy (ie don't have enough gr points). But, sometimes, if you ask too much, you pay the price...
