Is there a fix for "Couldn't load font "MS Sans Se

Post by Guest »

Couldn't load font "MS Sans Serif 8" falling back to "Sans 8" is the error i'm getting over and over and over in the DOS window. This seems to be slowing down my system quite a bit. Does anyone have a fix for this? I'm using Win98 and the GTK 1.6 client with 2.2.4.1 GTK runtime. My WinXP machine doesn't have this error. I checked on my 98 machine and that font is found and does display the font just fine.

Thanks for any help!

Any update to this issue? Should I post this problem somewhere else so it can get looked into?

I posted some questions, including this one, to GTK forums (http://www.dropline.net/forums), but no reply yet...

I get a stupid error on my computer ( windows 98 ) it says
"A required .DLL file, LIBGLIB-2.0-0.DLL, was not found."
I have been searching for 3 days on the forums and NOONE replies, so reply with a link or something to download the file. I installed it just fine and it didnt work. PLEASE respond.

Yes, and i replied at least once to read other threads in this forum about that file.

Now you'll want to check http://www.metalforge.net/cfmb/viewtopic.php?t=196 which should explain how to fix your bug.
The missing file is a GTK file (you did install GTK, didn't you?), and the thread explains exactly how to fix your issue.

This other thread http://www.metalforge.net/cfmb/viewtopic.php?t=268 may also help.
