How do I put my server up?

How do I put my server up?

About two weeks ago I tried to my server up; the metasever saw it but I couldn't connect to it. Why? :?

Where were you trying to connect from?

Same network as your server?
A different network?


More information is required before additional troubleshootings steps can be offered.

I was usesing the computer with the internet to connect to it; I had the server running on the other computer without internet acess unless the one with internet is on. Do I have to do something like put the server .exe on my ftp server or what?

The metaserver sees it but it says error can't connect like it does when you try the elven realms server.

Tried running it on the same comp and connecting to localhost?

It says the same thing: timeout cant connect error (code 0)

I put temp,share,var folders in my ftp gumbyscout.fateback.com,I changed the settings file to aquire my hosts name; that is all I did, but I did download maps, but no matter what it won't let me connect. :cry: :x :?

What does ftp have to do with running a Crossfire server?

I guess you have to put stuff where everyone can get it if you where running a public server; come one there is no tutorial or anything to tell peole how to put one up un less you know what they are talking about(they don't state what they are talking about)
