Perceive Self - Spell abilities for Dragon Race

Hi,

When I cast perceive self (my character is of the dragon race) I see lots of output including a 'Spell Abilities' section. It says I have the 'burning hands' and a fireball spell ability. What does that mean? I can't cast burning hands or any fireballs. 'cast burning hands' just gives me a list of spells.

My dragon is focused on fire and has Ruggli(sp) for a god, so it kinda makes sense, but what does it actually allow me to do? Do I need pyromancy?
