I decided it was time to start teaching myself LINUX, so I have set up a Redhat box. I believe I am runnig Redhat 9.
So my first big test is to learn how to setup software on one of these, and I figured where better to begin then by setting up a server for Crossfire.
I have uncompressed all of tar(?) files and have gone about the business of beginning to follow the install instructions, but a get shammed right at the first instruction. I figure I will let it set up in the default directory and learn how to play with directory structures later, so I simply let the configure file "run in terminal" It runs quickly and generates an log. The crux of the problem appears to be this error:
configure
However, when I look in the utils folder, I can see install-sh sitting right there.
I appreciate any insight you may have to offer, and I am sad to say I'll probably be back here asking more questions as I learn how to do this.
Thank you ahead of time.
Mike
