Windows 1.6 client

Post by Lord_SilverStone »

Found a small problem with the client for windows v1.6

I installed it on a Win ME system and got it to run (crashes on occasion) but on thing i did notice is that I can't go diagonal with it. I can go up,down, left and right but no diagonal. Anyone else with this problem???

Try binding the keys for that:

Code: Select all

'bind northwest
press 'up' to bind it, try it.

Other directions are: northeast, southwest, southeast
Bind them too.

If it still doesn't work, we'll see what we can do :)

Ok, that SaveDC failure may be a trouble.

Thanks for reporting the error.

I'll look into that (maybe in a few days only, sorry, much stuff to do), and will keep you posted here.

Here is another error code that i got. I did something different and got this error. I also installed the GTK Development Kit into the same directory as the RUntime enviroment kit.

(GTKClient.exe:4293942389): Gdk-WARNING **: gdkdrawable-win32.c:1474: CreateComp
atibleDC failed

I hope that helps some.

I haven't checked yet, but it seems those warnings are GUI resource-related. I think ME, like 95 & 98, has only a limited resource GUI pool. Maybe CF uses too much resources for it to work correctly...
