Are the installer scripts available somewhere by the way?
Polishing'em, and I'll soon commit to CVS.
Actually those are Perl scripts generating installer scripts :)
(since maps may vary)

Just committed my nsi-maker Perl script.
(note: this only makes nsi for the maps. Server script coming later)

Check make_win32/make_maps_nsi.pl (in crossfire module)

Are those things used to run my own server, if so, how do I use them to start my server.

I installed both, but I know not what to do next.......

Yes, those installers will (should, at least :)) help you run your Crossfire server under Windows.
Once installed, there should be a shortcut in the Start menu for Crossfire Server. This shortcut will launch the server, which will then wait for connections from clients.

If you want to change any settings (like who can become DM, really important :)), check the files in '<server installation directory>\share', and modify accordingly.

I don't know how this client works, but at some point it probably asks the address of the server you want to connect to. Enter 'localhost', should connect to your server (check the server's console to see if you have messages about that)

Actually it does not ask but instead shows a list of servers from a file plus the metaserver list. So you need to modify the server list file (servers.dat or something equally obvious) and then that server should be in the menu.

Downloaded smallworld went to install it and it said...

"Installer corrupt or incomplete

this could be result of a failed download or corruption from a virus

if desperate, try the /NCRC command line (NOT reccomended)"

its not a failed download cause I re-downloaded and no luck soooooo what could it be? (and NO im not downloading the bigworld I use 56k)

Help is welcome

Seems uploaded file is indeed corrupted. Uploading correct one right now. Give a few hours for Sourceforge's servers to sync, though.
(hint: there is an md5 sum in release notes, testing it shows file is corrupted)

Ok, reuploaded successfully, downloaded & md5 is fine, installer runs.
(maybe mirrors will need some time to get new file)

Sorry for the trouble :)
