either use your mandrake packages installer to install a package named libpng2-devel (suggested way as don't break mandrake rpm system) or get the source (take care as it requires zlib you may have to install too) from http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/libpng.html

Well, that's something I can bear. But when it comes to libraries that depend on libraries that depend on libraries that depend on libraries.. well, you get the idea. (edit: not referring to Crossfire/libpng here)
Libraries depending on libraries is not be a big fuss in Debian.. but in Windows...

/* Debian GNU/Linux - rebooting is for adding hardware. */
libpng-devel depends on zlib header because part of the zlib header definitions are used in libpng headers (i think), and you depend libpng headers to compile crossfire client. As simple as that
I just need someone to tell me what files i need to install to play on windows 98, I've tried, but nothing seems to work....Could someone please tell me how to install this and play?
